Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 August 2026

Wearsper Ltd ("Wearsper," "we," "us," or "our"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17400697, operates the Wearsper mobile application and website (together, the "Service"). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have over it. If you have questions, contact us at admin@wearsper.com.

1. What we collect

Account information: your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google or Apple. If you sign up with email directly, we also hold your password in hashed form, we never store or have access to your actual password.

Your wardrobe photos: photos you upload of clothing items you own. We process these using AI to detect the garment type, colour, and style, and to remove backgrounds, so we can build your digital wardrobe.

Your reference photo, for virtual try-on: if you use the virtual try-on feature, you provide a photo of yourself. This is a photo of your own body, and we treat it with particular care. It is used solely to generate images of you wearing your own wardrobe items, and is stored only until you replace or delete it.

AI-generated images: outfit photoshoots and virtual try-on results we generate for you. These are automatically deleted after 2 days, or sooner if you delete them yourself.

Style preferences and usage: your stated style preferences, the outfit recommendations you accept or decline, and your general usage of the app, so we can improve what we recommend to you over time.

Subscription and payment status: which subscription tier you're on, and your subscription status. We do not see or store your card details at any point, payments are handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor, and your card information goes directly to them, never to us.

Weather data: if you use the outfit planner, we use your general location to fetch current weather, to recommend weather-appropriate outfits.

Communications: if you contact us for support, we keep a record of that conversation to help resolve your query and improve our service.

2. Who we share data with, and why

We use a small number of trusted service providers to actually run Wearsper. We do not sell your data to anyone, ever.

3. How long we keep your data

AI-generated photoshoots and try-on results are automatically deleted after 2 days. Uncategorised wardrobe items are automatically deleted after 28 days if never sorted into a category. Your wardrobe, account, and preference data are kept for as long as your account is active. After you delete your account, your data is permanently removed from our systems, not just hidden or deactivated.

4. Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, delete your account and associated data at any time directly within the app, export your data in a portable format, object to certain uses of your data, and complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe we've mishandled your data.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at admin@wearsper.com, or use the account deletion feature built directly into the app.

5. International data transfers

Some of our service providers process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate legal safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, to ensure your data continues to receive a comparable level of protection.

6. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your data, including encrypted connections throughout the app, database-level access controls that restrict every user's data to that user alone, and monitoring for suspicious activity. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your photos and personal data with real care, not as an afterthought.

7. Children

Wearsper is not directed at, and should not be used by, anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under this age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example as our features change. We'll update the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you directly.
